Covid and Art
As a studio art teacher everything stopped. All classes, all income, Galleries closed. Art sales dried up and stopped overnight. Covid gave an opportunity to get back out in mother nature and get inspired. Painting from nature and learning to bloom in the moments of uncertainty.
This film was created as a part of the “Podcasting & Digital Storytelling” workshop. Podcasting & Digital Storytelling is designed for teachers and school professionals who work with 6th – 12th grade Alaska Native and Newcomer (immigrant and refugee) students, and participating educators will receive support in engaging students in podcasting and digital storytelling as culturally responsive teaching tools.
