Media Literacy & The Art of Storytelling
Understanding messages and where they come from is a part of daily life. Connecting Media literacy to democracy is a skill worth learning .This is the first of a 3 part series on literacy in a connected world.
This film was created as a part of the “Podcasting & Digital Storytelling” workshop. Podcasting & Digital Storytelling is designed for teachers and school professionals who work with 6th – 12th grade Alaska Native and Newcomer (immigrant and refugee) students, and participating educators will receive support in engaging students in podcasting and digital storytelling as culturally responsive teaching tools.
