This film examines multiple perspectives on the impact of the J-1 visa program in Kodiak. The film was shot and produced by 7th grader Marina C. as part of the Kodiak’s Filipino Community Stories project, a collaborative effort between the Baranov Museum, the Filipino American Association of Kodiak, the Kodiak Island Borough School District, and Media Action.
This project was supported in part by a grant from the Alaska Humanities Forum and the National Endowment for the Humanities, a federal agency. Any views, findings, conclusions or recommendations expressed herein do not necessarily represent those of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
