1990’s Cannery Culture Larsen Bay AK

This film explores the culture of the canneries in Larsen Bay, Alaska during the 1990s. It focuses on the predominately college-aged workforce and what they did for fun after hours and during closures.

This film was created at See Stories’ Professional Development Retreat for Educators in Homer Alaska, in June 2024 as part of the Digital Storytelling as a Culturally Responsive Teaching Tool course.
