Lesson Plan Library
We are developing a library of lessons created by and for Alaskan educators to go with See Stories films. Teachers in past See Stories professional development courses and our network of partners have created lesson plans and have generously agreed to share them with others via our website. This is part of our vision of supporting a more equitable statewide curriculum, uplifting local stories and histories.
We welcome submissions of lesson plans to add to our library! If you have a lesson idea or lesson plan that connects with a See Stories film, let us know! Contact info@seestories.org.

The Alaska Myth podcast lesson plans
Nine classroom lesson plans developed by Alaskan educators supplement episodes of “The Alaska Myth,” a podcast about the myths that shape how Alaskans view our history and ourselves. Hosted and produced by Kaitlin Jade Armstrong of Rosebay Audio.

The Forgotten Slavery of Our Ancestors Kindling Conversation Guide
This conversation guide was developed in partnership with Alaska Humanities Forum and their Kindling Conversations Program. They are designed to host conversations in the classroom or over dinner with friends.
It explores the question: How can we honor and share Indigenous stories about slavery in our history? in connection with the film “The Forgotten Slavery of Our Ancestors” by Howdice Brown, produced by See Stories and Teaching Tolerance.
