Subsistence: Our Way of Life
In this lesson, students will understand that subsistence is an important cultural tradition, although times are changing families still subsist to different degrees. The food gathered from the land is important to the well-being of the Alaskan Natives. Food purchased from the store is changing the way of life and affecting the health of the Alaskan Natives.
