Art & Advertisements of Alaska’s Cannery Industry
In this lesson, students will learn about marketing techniques used by Alaskan canneries and consider how art provides insight into cultures, values, and time periods. They will then create their own salmon label specific to a demographic of their choice, using colors, fonts, and imagery to match that market and make the branding feel more familiar to that specific population.
